France’s record goalscorer Thierry Henry gave his verdict on what makes Kylian Mbappe a special talent.
Kylian Mbappe’s raw talent and intelligence on the ball are the qualities that Thierry Henry likes most about the striker.
Mbappe heads into the summer hoping to emulate Henry in winning back-to-back international tournaments with France by becoming a World Cup and European Championship winner.
Les Bleus begin their Euro 2020 campaign on Tuesday evening away to Germany in Group F at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

And Henry, who won the World Cup and Euros between 1998 and 2000 with the French national team, thinks Mbappe could make the difference for Didier Deschamps’s side.
“He [Mbappe] is the type of guy who can turn a draw into a win, a defeat into a draw, and sometimes a defeat into a win straight away,” the Arsenal legend told Goal. “He has that talent.
“To have a player like him is just unbelievable.
“Not only what he can do, but how clever he is on the ball. He uses his brain when he plays and I like that about him.
“We are so happy that he is French.”
Henry, who scored a record 51 goals in 123 caps for France in his career, refused to speculate on which club Mbappe will be at next season. His only wish is that the 22-year-old stays avoids injury and enjoys a long career.
“Whatever Kylian wants to achieve, if he puts his mind to it, it looks like he will do it,” Henry added.
“I just hope that he can stay injury-free and we can have the luxury to watch him for a very long time because he is special.”
