Fans were vocal in their criticism of Kylian Mbappe after his on-pitch sulking episode against Montpellier.
Thierry Henry has defended Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe from the fallout over his actions at the weekend.
After missing PSG’s season opener, Mbappe made a scoring return in Saturday’s 5-2 victory over Montpellier. It sealed the reigning Ligue 1 champions another three points to preserve their lead at the top of the standings.
But Mbappe also saw a penalty saved in the first half. He later appeared to stop running and turn his back during a play after Vitinha favored passing the ball to Lionel Messi instead of him – leading to criticism from some unimpressed fans on social media.
That massive contract already getting to Mbappe’s head
Terrible attitude from him, just giving up and walking bc they won’t pass it to him.
Don’t care how good he is, this is just poor.

“It’s his place. He will, of course, have to show it [his best level] as he has shown from the start. But he has nothing to prove to anyone,” Henry said on Amazon Prime Video about the Mbappe incident.
“The coach [Christophe Galtier] will have to find a way to play the three [Messi, Neymar, Mbappe] and make them happy…good luck.
“At PSG, there is always a debate, a problem. They won 5-2 and we’re talking about Mbappe. Last year, it was Neymar and it will always be like that. It’s PSG.”
PSG will face Lille for their next Ligue 1 match this Sunday at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
