Man United legend Andy Cole insists the duo of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are not yet at full potential and can still up their game.

Manchester United forwards Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have been told to step up their performances by club legend Andy Cole.

The Englishman scored five Premier League goals in December and currently has a tally of seven goals and seven assists from 15 matches.

Rashford is looking to surpass the 17-goal tally he managed the last term from 31 appearances.

Martial also bagged 17 goals last season but only had one goal after 11 games this season. His recent goal against Aston Villa last Friday saw him double his league’s tally.

But Cole still wants to see the pair further improve their strike rates as United look to contend with Liverpool for the Premier League title this season.

“He’s (Martial) super talented, he gets in great positions but sometimes his finishing is a bit erratic,” Cole said as quoted by the Mirror.

“He hits the goalkeeper, he doesn’t make the right decisions at times but he has all the talent in the world.”

“I do genuinely believe, like Marcus [Rashford], he’s nowhere near his full potential.

“He just has to keep persevering and hopefully he’ll go on a good run.”

“He’s another one that could get 25 goals, easily.”
