Chelsea continue their poor run of fixtures in the Premier League, and Thomas Tuchel does not seem quite impressed.
Thomas Tuchel expressed his frustration over Chelsea’s draw against Brighton on Tuesday night. This game evidently displayed that the Blues were unable to win a league match for the sixth time in their last seven attempts.
The German boss was not pleased by his players’ performances on the away turf. He believed that his side appeared to be tired and unhappy and have lost control over the Premier League table.
As a matter of fact, Chelsea now lag 12 points behind league leaders in Manchester City. Moreover, Pep Guardiola’s side has one game in hand for their advantage.
After the game, Tuchel told BT Sport: “[Even] in the reaction of the goal [we scored], you can see that we are tired. We are relieved but there is no joy.”
“We look tired, and we are. … You can see we are mentally tired. We need some days off, there’s no other solution.”
In addition, Romelu Lukaku and Hakim Ziyech were seen arguing at halftime. On that Tuchel commented: “It’s normal that they [Ziyech & Lukaku] talk, it’s normal that they’re not happy.”
