As the year 2020 finally comes to an end, it’s time we give you the Top 5 list of the best transfers that took place in European football.

Transfers in the year 2020 were pretty interesting for many reasons, we have a Top 5 list of the best in European football. Despite the obvious global pandemic, football clubs still decided to make efforts for the players they wanted. However, most of the transfers we will discuss happened just before the tragedy struck the world. These players were the best decisions their current clubs made due to the impact they had after signing for them. Let’s do this!

5.- Pedri to FC Barcelona.

There were a lot of rumors of a young player at Union Deportiva Las Palmas in the Canary Islands. They spoke about a midfielder who had the talent to make history in any major clubs he decided to play. In the end, FC Barcelons got to sign Pedri for €8 million. His impact has been swift at the club and he already is one of Leo Messi’s best partners. There are comparisons with both Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez already but we won’t get into that.

4.- Luis Suarez to Atletico Madrid.

The way in which Luis Suarez left FC Barcelona will be regarded as one of the worst transfer decisions in the club’s history. On the other side, Atletico Madrid struck gold with his arrival on a free transfer. It’s safe to say that the Uruguay international managed to remind us he is far from finished as he leads Atletico Madrid for a new La Liga title.

3.- Erling Haaland to Borussia Dortmund.

The ‘Robot’ has been one of Borussia Dortmund’s most impressive signings in many years. In fact, he might just be the player they sell for the highest price by the time they do it. Make no mistake, Dortmund will sell Haaland for a ridiculous amount of money. At only 20 years old, his market value on Transfermarkt is already €100 million but they could sell him for €250 million if they wanted. The kid is breaking Champions League records with impressive ease.

2.- Zlatan Ibrahimovic to AC Milan.

To those who thought Zlatan’s days of glory were over as he laid waste in the MLS, you were gravely mistaken. The Swedish striker made AC Milan come back from obscurity to the top of Serie A. As the Rossoneri’s leader, he is making sure they remain undefeated in European football. Even though he is currently injured, there’s no doubt about AC Milan’s decision to bring back Zlatan was the best they’ve made in decades.

1.- Bruno Fernandes to Manchester United.

This Portuguese playmaker has single-handedly changed Manchester United’s mentality for the better. Right now, the Red Devils are nearing the top of the Premier League in large part due to Bruno’s performances. However, his tantrums against teammates are what made the biggest difference this season. You don’t want to get Bruno angry and thus, you have to give 110% in every match. There’s no question he has been the best transfer of 2020 all over the world.
