With this in mind, imagine Harry Kane watching last-night’s game between PSG and Barcelona. The thought of him as that team’s striker must be quite appealing for the England international. Given the good relationship Mauricio Pochettino developed with Kane, thinking about a reunion doesn’t sound too far out. But just the appeal of playing alongside Kylian Mbappe and Neymar is not the reason Kane would leave. Nor is the relationship he has with the Argentine manager.

The real reason Harry Kane would leave Spurs is quite simple: Tottenham Hotspur’s lack of trophies. With a missing competitive nature, the North London club can no longer give Harry Kane what he wants. After Jose Mourinho arrived, there was one last chance for the striker to remain at the club. However, this season proved that the Spurs are not the ideal football club for him to thrive.
There is no way he will remain there for one more season without fighting for the major trophies in European football. Mourinho knew he had one last chance to convince Harry to stay and he blew it. Pochettino only needs to pick up the phone and do a little convincing in order to lure Kane to Paris.
