After this week’s new developments in the Jadon Sancho saga, we have new information on Manchester United’s chances to sign him.

The Jadon Sancho saga just took a wild turn for Manchester United, the only club that has a chance to sign him at this point. Initially, we believed there was more than one squad that was willing to pay €120 million for the English forward. However, there has been a shocking revelation that nobody knew anything about. Speaking on Sky Sports ‘The Transfer Show’, journalist Dharmesh Sheth revealed that Jadon Sancho’s representatives spoke to Borussia Dortmund.

This happened before August 1, they told the club that their client wanted to become a Red Devil. The German squad responded with two specific conditions in order to allow the player to leave. First, the English club needed to make a €120 million offer. Second, such an offer had to be presented before August the 1st. This date was then extended to August 10 and United didn’t make any offers until 50 days later. Moreover, the offer they presented was well below Dortmund’s conditions (€90 million).

Sancho’s absence, a coincidence?

Last night’s DFL Super Cup against Bayern Munich had Jadon Sancho as the biggest absence in a game that needed him terribly. The Black and Yellow squad was close to a shocking win but couldn’t get it without the English player. It was reported that he felt ill before the game with a respiratory problem. Conspiracy theorists started going crazy online. As per Sky Sports, the player’s absence and his transfer situation are nothing more than a coincidence. But more evidence to the contrary keeps piling up.

Just today, Sancho’s personal photographer uploaded an Instagram story of a visit he is making to the city of Manchester. It is also rumored that the young star is already pressuring Dortmund to lower their expectations from €120 million to €100 million. This is a number that the Red Devils would consider offering for Sancho. But Dortmund needs to agree before anything else happens. The next four days of the Jadon Sancho transfer saga will be wild. We’ll make sure to keep you updated.
