Amid reports linking Ronaldo and former Real Madrid teammate Varane to Manchester United, here is a possible line-up for next season.

After Florentino Perez shut the door on a Real Madrid return, Cristiano Ronaldo’s options for a new club next season are limited.

If the Portuguese ace leaves Juventus in the summer, his only realistic options could be Paris Saint-Germain or former club Manchester United.

Out of these two clubs, a return to Old Trafford may be CR7’s preferred option.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ronaldo has allegedly told his agent, Jorge Mendes, to find out if a United return is possible. He is even willing to take a pay cut to help seal a deal.

But while it’s only a rumor so far, Transfermarkt has shared an image of how Ronaldo could play under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Also in the line-up is Ronaldo’s former Real Madrid teammate Raphael Varane, who is reportedly on Solskjaer’s radar.

To be fair, it’s actually a pretty good team.

In this XI, Dean Henderson has replaced David de Gea as the new United no. 1 goalkeeper.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw remain Solskjaer’s preferred full-backs, while Varane partners captain Harry Maguire in central defense.

No real changes in the midfield, though, with Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay alongside each other.

Bruno Fernandes, meanwhile, slots in behind Portugal teammate Ronaldo.

Jesse Lingard, who has impressed big time on loan at West Ham recently, and Marcus Rashford start on the flanks.
