5- Reims 6-1 PSG (1974)

On August 9, 1974, PSG suffered a humiliating 6-1 defeat at the hands of Reims. Carlos Bianchi, the prolific Argentine striker, was the star of the day, scoring all six goals for Reims. This historic loss remains PSG’s heaviest defeat in Ligue 1 to this day.

PSG had opened the scoring through François M’Pelé, but Bianchi’s relentless performance sealed their fate. This defeat was particularly significant as PSG was a young club recently promoted to the top flight, facing an established Reims side.

4- AS Nancy-Lorraine 6-1 PSG (1985)

In the 1985-86 French Division 1 season, the Parisians was handed another crushing defeat, this time by AS Nancy-Lorraine. The match ended 6-1 in favor of Nancy, with Rubén Umpiérrez and Fabrice Picot both scoring twice. Didier Philippe and Robert Jacques also found the net.

Nancy- Lorraine dominated PSG, and this defeat marked one of the worst defeats in the club’s history.

3- PSG 1-6 Juventus (1997)

PSG’s encounter with Juventus in the 1997 UEFA Super Cup ended in a humiliating 6-1 defeat. The Parisians were outclassed by Juventus, with the Italians securing a 9-2 aggregate victory over the two legs.

Notably, the Parisians’ preparation for the Super Cup had been unconventional, with the team training in tropical conditions on the island of Réunion. This ill-fated decision, combined with the strength of Juventus, led to a devastating defeat.

2- Barcelona 6-1 PSG (2017)

One of the most infamous defeats in PSG’s history occurred on March 8, 2017, when they faced Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg. the Parisians had won the first leg 4-0, raising expectations of reaching the next round. However, Barcelona staged an incredible comeback, winning 6-1 and making history by overturning a 4-0 first-leg deficit.

Neymar, Luis Suarez, and Sergi Roberto played pivotal roles in Barcelona’s stunning victory, leaving PSG and their fans in shock.

1- Nantes 6-0 PSG (1971)

The most devastating defeat in PSG’s history came on September 1, 1971, when they faced FC Nantes. Playing at Stade Marcel-Saupin in front of 16,254 spectators, the Parisians was outclassed, suffering a 6-0 thrashing.

Despite their recent victories over Bordeaux and Nancy, PSG couldn’t match the quality of Nantes, demonstrating the gap between top-tier teams like Nantes and PSG’s level at the time. The defeat served as a harsh lesson for the newly promoted Parisian club.
