The Red Devils will have a short preparation camp in Spain ahead of the second half of the season.

Erik ten Hag has dropped Jadon Sancho from Manchester United’s squad for their training camp in Spain.

The Red Devils will spend a week in Spain as they prepare for the second half of the season.

Ten Hag won’t have 13 of his first-team players available due to the World Cup. However, he has decided against calling up Sancho for the trip.

A statement on Man Utd’s website reads: Jadon Sancho is continuing his individual training programme as part of a process to get back to his highest level. The club is fully supporting him in this.”

Sancho failed to secure a spot in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the World Cup.

Following his £73million move from Borussia Dortmund, Sancho failed to live up to expectations in his first campaign.

However, he has shown serious signs of improvement under Ten Hag this season. Having registered three goals and one assist so far this season, Sancho hopes to land a starting spot in Ten Hag’s lineup after the World Cup.

Man Utd will also travel to Spain without Axel Tuanzebe, and Aaron Wan Bissaka, who are out with injuries.
