The Reds boss spoke on the availability of three of his players ahead of the trip to Vicarage Park for the league outing against Watford.

Trent-Alexander Arnold and Diogo Jota are in contention to feature for Liverpool in Saturday’s Premier League match against Watford, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.

Thiago Alcantara, meanwhile, remains unavailable. The Spaniard was expected to be fully fit after the international break but as it turns out, he still hasn’t put his calf injury in the past.

Alexander-Arnold sat out Liverpool’s last two games – the Champions League win over Porto and the Premier League draw with Manchester City – due to a groin problem while Jota was forced to miss Portugal‘s fixtures in the past week due to a muscle issue.

“Yes, Trent and Diogo are available, at least they were yesterday,” Klopp said in his pre-match press conference.

“Thiago, I don’t know [when he will be available]. It still takes a little bit of time. That’s a bit disappointing but we know that as well for a few days now that it will not go that quick. We have to wait.”

Liverpool will look to continue their unbeaten run in the 2021-22 league campaign and move to the top of the table when they take on Watford tomorrow night.
