Both clubs are linked with new right-backs ahead of the next season.

Kyle Walker has reportedly reached a personal agreement with Bayern Munich, while Manchester City have made Benjamin Pavard a “top target”.

The Bavarians have been linked with a move for Walker since the start of the current transfer window. After completing Kim Min-jae’s transfer, it seems Bayern are now ready to close a deal for the England international.

According to the Athletic, Walker has reached an agreement to join the Bundesliga champions on a summer move. The Citizens reportedly expect to receive around £15m (€17.5m) for the experienced right-back.

Walker will most likely replace Pavard, who is on Bayern’s sale list ahead of the next campaign. The Frenchman has attracted interest from both Manchester United and Juventus. But it seems a new club have now joined the race to sign him.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Pavard has already entered negotiations on personal terms with Man City. The Citizens are reportedly planning to start negotiations with Bayern Munich in the coming days.

Pavard has been a crucial part of Bayern’s backup line since joining the club from Stuttgart in 2019.

The arrival of Noussair Mazraoui last season raised doubts over Pavard’s chances of maintaining his lineup spot. However, the Frenchman remained a regular starter under both Thomas Tuchel and Julian Nagelsmann, making 43 appearances across all competitions.
