The Portuguese superstar has heavily criticized the club’s hierarchy in a new interview.

An overwhelming majority of Manchester United fans don’t want to see Cristiano Ronaldo back in the club after his recent interview with Piers Morgan.

Having struggled for minutes during the first half of the season, Ronaldo slammed Man Utd’s owners and Erik ten Hag in a highly controversial interview earlier this week.

On Thursday, Gary Neville called on the club to sack Ronaldo after his remarks. It turns out this might be what the majority of the United fans want ahead of the World Cup.

According to a survey by the Athletic, 88% of Man Utd fans want the club to terminate Ronaldo’s contract.

The Red Devils are going through a rebuilding process under Erik ten Hag, who has already won the fans’ support during his short period at the club.

More than 90% of the United supporters on Athletic believe the Dutchman hasn’t treated Ronaldo unfairly.

In his TalkTV interview, Ronaldo said he “doesn’t respect” Ten Hag while taking a jibe at Neville for criticizing his performances.

“I agree with some of the things Cristiano has said and many Man Utd fans will agree with many things Cristiano has said,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“But the reality is if you’re an employee within a business and say those things your employment has to terminate and Man Utd have to do that in the next few days.”
