Pochettino to be next Barca boss?

Barca have already decided to sack Quique Setien. Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is the likely candidate to come in as a replacement. The club have been talking to the Argentine manager for weeks and he also had dinner with Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu last week. Asides Pochettino, the Catalan club also spoke to former players Ronald Koeman and Thierry Henry. Xavi Hernandez was also approached but denied the job.  (Guardian)

Chelsea close in on Chilwell transfer

Chelsea are edging closer to sign Leicester’s Ben Chilwell. The left-back is Frank Lampard’s top defensive target for this summer. The Foxes were initially holding out for £80m. But Chelsea could end up signing the England international for significantly less. Chilwell is also eager to see the move go through and wants to play for Chelsea as well.  (Independent)

West Ham demand more for Declan Rice

Another top target on Chelsea’s list is their ex-player Declan Rice. The Blues saw their offer of Michy Batshuayi and Ross Barkley for Rice rejected by West Ham. The Hammers are holding out for £80m in cash and would not entertain any offers less than that. Rice has fueled links to Chelsea over the past few days having been spotted with a number of Blues stars. (Talksport)

Gabriel Magalhaes to leave Lille this summer

Lille owner Gerard Lopez has confirmed that Gabriel Magalhaes will leave the club this summer. The highly-rated French defender has attracted interest from a number of clubs. His next destination is not yet known but reports from France claims he will choose between Napoli and Arsenal.  (Goal)

Messi and Guardiola reunion at Manchester City?

Should Lionel Messi decide to leave Barcelona, Manchester City believe they have a high chance to sign the Argentine. The Barca captain will surely be tempted to reunite with Guardiola and vice-versa.
