Mourinho plots Coutinho-Lo Celso trade deal with Barcelona

Jose Mourinho sees a golden transfer opportunity to sign Philippe Coutinho. The Tottenham manager believes Barcelona could be tempted into swapping the Brazilian for Giovani Lo Celso, as Miralem Pjanic has failed to impress as cover for defensive midfielder Sergio Busquets. Coutinho, meanwhile, has struggled to make his mark at Camp Nou since his big-money arrival from Liverpool in January 2018. Therefore, with these facts in mind, Mourinho has proposed this trade deal to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

Juventus eye moves for Depay and Milik

Lyon’s forward Memphis Depay and Marseille loan striker Arkadiusz Milik are on Juventus’ transfer list. The Bianconeri need more firepower and looking into potential deals for the duo in the summer. [Tuttosport – in Italian]

Depay, of course, will be a free agent once his Lyon contract expires at the end of June, while it’s unclear if Milik will return to parent club Napoli.

Arsenal to rival Scottish giants for Joseph?

The Gunners are reportedly among several clubs keeping tabs on Wigan’s 19-year-old striker Kyle Joseph. The London-born Scot has impressed in League One, alerting interest from Scottish giants Rangers and Celtic. Unnamed clubs from the Premier League and the Championship are also keen. [Sunday Mirror]

Joseph will be a free agent in the summer once his contract with Wigan expires at the end of the current campaign.

Barcelona interested in Bastoni move

Despite their growing financial problems, Barcelona are keen to bring in reinforcements. The Blaugrana have reportedly laid eyes on Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni, who they feel fits the bill as a young and promising center-back. [Calciomercato – in Italian]

The 21-year-old Italian, however, is highly rated at Inter and won’t be sold on the cheap. The Nerazzurri would allegedly expect double the €30m they paid to sign him from Atalanta in the summer of 2017.

Man City to move for Haaland despite Raiola problem

Erling Haaland is a wanted man. The Borussia Dortmund striker’s brilliant form has made him impossible to ignore, prompting several European giants to express an interest. More recently, though, a Premier League move has been touted frequently.

Chelsea and Manchester United could be possible destinations, but so could be Manchester City. The Citizens could lose record goalscorer Sergio Aguero in the summer, and who better to replace the Argentine than Haaland?

And while manager Pep Guardiola has a difficult relationship with the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, City remain interested in a £100m transfer for Haaland. [Mirror]
