Diego Simeone insists Luis Suarez has delivered exactly according to expectations following their first phone call in 2020.
Suarez signed for Atletico Madrid at the start of the season after being deemed surplus to requirements at FC Barcelona.

Scoring 12 goals in 15 La Liga games and being the joint-top scorer in the league, the 34-year-old has removed all such doubts.
The latest of his goals came in the 3-1 victory against Valencia as Atletico opened up a seven-point lead at the top of the table after the home win.
The Uruguayan marksman has quickly become an integral part of the Atletico team as they lead the title race with 47 points collected from 18 games so far.
“The moment I spoke with Luis on the phone I found what he gives on the pitch: a lot of desire and energy,” Simeone said, via Marca.
“The team helps him to be at his best, which is scoring, something that has marked him throughout his career.”
