Ex-Barcelona director Ariedo Braida has backed Luis Suarez to fit in seamlessly at Juventus ahead of his proposed move.

Luis Suarez could be headed for the exit door at Barcelona and on his way to Juventus.

The Uruguayan finds himself surplus to options at the Nou Camp and has reportedly been told to find a new club by Ronald Koeman.

Juventus are in search of a striker and Suarez could be the short-term answer to their needs.

Some reports making the rounds already claim a deal in principle is agreed for the 33-year-old to join Juventus.

Ex-Barca technical director Ariedo Braida is more than certain Suarez has all it takes to shine at Barcelona.

“I’m not surprised about his Barcelona exit because football is about cycles” he told Tuttosport.

“Even Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid because he felt his time there was over.

“Suarez is a fighter and his battling spirit infects the rest of his teams.

“He has character and the DNA to play for Juventus and other big clubs.

“If he is motivated, he’ll be a strong signing even at 33 years of age.”

Braida went on to state that he believes Suarez and Ronaldo can form a deadly partnership.

“He won’t have problems playing with Ronaldo,” he added.

“They’ll understand each other perfectly because they’re two natural winners.”
