Diego Maradona Stadium was the place where Juventus visited SSC Napoli for a new Serie A match on Saturday. We got the player ratings.

SSC Napoli met Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus at Diego Maradona Stadium for a fresh Serie A match. Keep in mind that these two clubs still haven’t played in the competition this season after the first-half game was postponed. Today, Juventus comes in dire need of a victory against one of the most competitive football clubs in Italian football. Gennaro Gattuso decided to use most of his offensive player available for tonight’s game against Cristiano Ronaldo.

The local side took advantage of their own stadium in order to control most of the ball possession. Hirving Lozano gave a fantastic performance despite not being able to score a goal tonight. He was fast from the flanks and Juventus’ defense was always trying to stop him. We weren’t able to see goals until past the first half hour, when Napoli got a window of opportunity to score from the spot.

Chiellini makes a terrible mistake.

Giorgio Chiellini slapped one of Napoli’s players inside the box but the ref couldn’t see the penalty at first glance. However, VAR assisted him for a clear penalty call that gave Lorenzo Insigne a unique opportunity. You see, the Napoli captain got a chance to score the 100th goal of his Napoli career. He took the shot and scored without an issue before celebrating in style.

This goal was enough for Gattuso’s men to keep control of the result throughout the rest of the match. Cristiano Ronaldo had a couple of chances during the first half and an incredible header in the second that Meret saved. His efforts weren’t enough to prevent Juventus’ defeat against a Napoli side that moves to the Top Four with this win.
