Daniel Ek has given fans an update on his attempted Arsenal takeover after making an official bid.
Spotify co-founder and CEO Daniel Ek has confirmed that he made an offer to buy Arsenal from the Kroenke administration.
The Swedish billionaire’s offer, however, fell on deaf ears. Josh Kroenke, the club’s director and son of owner Stan, turned him down and replied that Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE) ‘don’t need the money’.

“Inaccurate reports emerged today saying I have not made a bid for Arsenal Football Club,” Ek posted on Twitter on Saturday.
“I think it’s important to correct the record – this week an offer was made to both Josh Kroenke and their bankers that included fan ownership, representation at the board and a golden share for the supporter.
“They replied that they don’t need the money. I respect their decision but remain interested and available should that situation ever change.”
Despite recent fan protests at the Emirates Stadium, the Kroenke family recently affirmed they won’t entertain offers for Arsenal.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has also claimed the under-fire owners have shown ‘commitment’ and ‘ambition’ for the club.
