Let’s take a look at the player ratings from the Group H FIFA Women’s World Cup match at Suncorp Stadium.

A shell-shocked Germany have exited the FIFA Women’s World Cup after a 1-1 draw with South Korea.

The Germans entered their Group H finale as the firm favorites. Backing them for a win at full-time returned odds of 1.15 on Bet365, which implied they had an 87% probability of victory. Yet, while Germany dominated possession and had the lion’s share of opportunities, South Korea were no pushovers.

The home team had the better start and took only six minutes to break the deadlock. Lee’s through-ball split Germany’s defense, paving the way for Cho to score. They then put in a spirited performance in defense, and while Alexandra Popp did score an equalizer, it was enough to earn their first World Cup point.

With Morocco beating Colombia 1-0 in the other Group H game, Germany slipped down to third, sending them packing from the World Cup.
