The South Korean star has been flying high with a scintillating start to the season, but he still has his feet firmly on the ground.

Currently leading the league’s goalscoring charts, Tottenham forward Son Heung-min has been in the form of his life early in the 2020-21 Premier League campaign.

The 28-year old has been the driving force behind his side taking the top position in the league table, notching up eight goals in as many appearances.

He has scored five more in the Europa League with three of those coming in the qualifying stages to propel his side to the group stage of the competition.

Son’s sublime form is set to be rewarded as Spurs are reportedly planning on handing him a contract extension that could make him one of the club’s highest earners.

The South Korea international is considered by many to be one of the Premier League’s very best players. However, he humbly admits that any such idea has never crossed his mind.

“I’ve never once thought I am among the best players in the Premier League. Honestly, I’ve never thought that for a moment,” he told in an interview with the Korea Football Association YouTube channel.

“I have always tried to do my best for Tottenham and in the national team and try to show all my abilities. It feels different to play for the national team and for Spurs.”
