Manchester United remain winless in each of their four home league games this season, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer cannot think of a reason.

Manchester United’s start to the 2020/21 Premier League campaign came as a disappointment as they got beat 3-1 by Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

An annihilation marked their second home game of the season as the Red Devils were handed a 6-1 beating by Tottenham.

United thereafter were held to a 0-0 draw against Chelsea and then suffered a 1-0 loss against Arsenal, which marked a new low as they are now winless in their opening four home games for the first time since 1972-73.

A 5-0 thrashing of RB Leipzig in the Champions League is the only desirable result at home so far for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men, and the manager is lost at words to explain his side’s struggles.

“I don’t think it’s a mental thing [being unable to win at Old Trafford]. It’s about quality of opposition at times, we are playing against good teams, marginal decisions that give you a win or loss,” Solskjaer said, via Goal.

Paul Pogba’s challenge inside the box saw Man United concede a penalty through which Arsenal scored the winning goal on Sunday.

“That’s football for you, it’s not like you turn on a tap and it comes flowing,” Solskjaer added. “We were passive, couldn’t get intensity and temperament in our game, was a 0-0 written all over it.

“I didn’t think any team deserved to win.”
