To kick start their new league campaign, the Red Devils play host to old rivals Leeds on Saturday evening.
Jadon Sancho will be “definitely involved” in Manchester United’s Premier League opener against Leeds United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed.
A long-drawn transfer saga finally came to conclusion at the end of July when Sancho signed for Manchester United in a blockbuster £73 million move from Borussia Dortmund.
Coming with the reputation of being one of the most productive players in Bundesliga in the last couple of years, the 21-year-old winger is expected to hit the ground running and quickly become a key member of the Red Devils squad.
Speaking to MUTV, Solskjaer suggested fans can expect the team’s new No.25 to make his debut in Saturday’s big match at Old Trafford.
“Jadon has come in and done very good this week,” said the Norwegian.
“It may be a little bit too early, but I’ll see how he is. He’s definitely involved in the squad.
“He’s had a good week. Unfortunately, he was ill after his holiday and we’ve lost out on a few days of training with him, but he’s gelled really well with the group and he’s looked sharper than expected.
“He’ll be involved but I can’t tell you if he’ll start or not.”
