The Red Devils added a number of new faces in the previous transfer window, and the manager is content with the look of his squad.

Manchester United probably will welcome no new players in January but they might bid farewell to a couple of existing ones, informs Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.

United remained silent during the majority of the summer, making only one signing before the deadline day in the shape of Donny Van de Beek.

With only a few hours left for the transfer market to slam shut, they announced Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles, Facundo Pellistri, and Amad Diallo, with the latter having to wait until January to join the team.

The Red Devils, tied on points with leaders Liverpool, are going strong in the Premier League campaign, and Solskjaer suggests there is no need to spend on recruitment.

“The signings we made in the summer strengthened the squad really well. Good signings, good players,” Solskjaer told reporters ahead of the Premier League clash against Burnley on Tuesday, via MEN.

“January is more difficult but if something comes up, that’s different. Good teams don’t want to lose their players so unlikely on the ‘in’ side.

Jesse Lingard and Marcos Rojo have been linked with an exit with the pair struggling to find regular game time.

Sergio Romero, having fallen down in the pecking order behind David de Gea and Dean Henderson, is also supposedly on the verge of ending his stay at Old Trafford.

“There might be a few players going out, which is good for the good of their careers,” Solskjaer added.
