Despite recent results, Ole Solskjaer remains convinced he is the right man to lead Manchester United to success.
Ole Solskjaer has seen his future at Manchester United come under scrutiny recently. This comes after back to back defeats against Arsenal and Istanbul Basaksehir.
United travel to Goodison Park on Saturday sitting 15th in the Premier League table having won just two of their opening six games.
While pressure is mounting on Solskjaer, the United boss is still backing himself to get the club out of their current state.
Reports of Pochettino entering the United fray have made the rounds but the Norwegian manager insists he still has the full trust of the Manchester United board.
“If I don’t trust my beliefs and values, my staff’s qualities, and the quality of my players, who else should?” Solskjaer said as per the club’s official website.
“I don’t look at one or two results and fall like a house of cards. It’s a setback, definitely, but I think there’s been too much made of not scoring against Arsenal and Chelsea, because there’s been more or less nothing in those two games.”
“It’s not long ago that we were the best thing since sliced bread when we beat RB Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain.”
“There’s ups and downs in football and that’s just the way it has to be and you’ve got to have that belief in yourself and belief in the players.
“The club has been very positive and shown me their character and their strong leadership and I’m looking to Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off now.”
Regardless of what Solskajer might say, the reality is that the Everton result could go a long way in determining what happens to his future.
