The striker couldn’t last for the full 90 minutes against PSG on Wednesday which put his availability for the subsequent match in doubt.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hopeful that Marcus Rashford could fully recover ahead of Saturday’s Premier League match against West Ham United.

The 22-year-old was forced off the pitch with about a quarter of an hour still to play after due to a shoulder issue – the same problem he suffered from during the previous international break – during the 3-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain on Champions League matchday 5.

He was unable to join his teammates in the full training session on Friday morning ahead of the trip to West Ham.

Rashford, who has raked in nine goals and five assists in total so far this season, though, could still feature at the London Stadium.

“Marcus has been training this morning, not fully but he joined in with the group,” Solskjaer said in his pre-match press conference.

“His shoulder stopped him finishing the game [against PSG] so he’s been getting treatment and hopefully he’ll be part of the squad that travels, we’ll see after training.

Solskjaer also offered an update on the condition of Luke Shaw, who suffered a hamstring strain in Man United’s 3-1 victory over Everton prior to the international break.

“Luke is not ready yet, apart from that we had a big squad training again,” added the Norwegian. “We’re a bit bruised after Wednesday night but hopefully, we’ll be ready to go again tomorrow.”
