The Frenchman was forced to miss the end of the Red Devils’ 2020-21 with a knee injury.

Anthony Martial is yet to resume training with the rest of his Manchester United teammate but his recovery “looks good”, informs Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Martial has been out of action for about four months now, with his last appearance for Man United coming in the 3-1 FA Cup quarter-final defeat to Leicester City in back March.

The forward sat out United’s final five games of the previous season while he also played no part for France in their Euro 2020 campaign.

The injury only turned things from bad to worse for the former Monaco man, who largely struggled to hit his top form in the 36 appearances he made in 2020-21.

It appears that the 25-year-old will be available for his club from the get-go of the upcoming season as his rehabilitation process seems to be going well.

“Anthony Martial has also joined us, but he’s not joined the team training yet,” Solskjaer told the official Man Utd website.

“He’s recovering from the knee injury and that looks good.”

“The rest of them will drop in after their well-earned holidays because some of them needed them and they deserved them.”
