Manchester United fans have been wanting to see more of Donny van de Beek, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has called for patience to be shown.

Donny van de Beek yet again impressed in the little time he was offered in Manchester United’s 4-1 win over Newcastle United on Saturday.

The Dutchman, coming off the bench with 14 minutes to go, was instrumental in the build-up to Bruno Fernandes‘ goal that put his side on the front foot.

The former Ajax man has been limited to only cameos in each of his four Premier League games so far. Only one start has been made by the player who arrived at Old Trafford in the summer market.

Van de Beek is yet to establish himself as a regular amid competition from Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Fred, and Scott McTominay in the middle of the park.

“He’ll get his game time. He’s been fantastic in the group,” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told reporters when quizzed on how he plans to accommodate the €38-million-man in his line-up, via Goal.

“I think you see today and in training, he’s so neat and tidy, I don’t think he lost the ball once.

“It’s about finding the balance in the team. He’ll have a very good impact on the team.”
