Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues to keep trust in Daniel James for his short-term as well as long-term plans at Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits that Daniel James possesses a natural talent that cannot be missed out. The Wales international was tilted towards exiting Manchester United during the January transfer window. But despite the speculations, Ole kept his faith in the young speedster who is in his second season at Old Trafford.

James moved to United in the summer of 2019 from the Championship side Swansea having shown incredible potential. However, at the Theatre of Dreams, the Welshman is facing tremendous competition to fill in the wing position. And questions are raised regarding his long-term future.

There is a bright future.

Solskjaer, though, does not want to let go of his young talent and knows the importance of having James in the squad. After the 23-year-old managed to net in the 4-0 win against Real Sociedad in the Europa League clash, Ole chose to comment on him. The Norwegian told the official website: “Dan has always been in my mind. Always in contention.”

“You can see his X-factor, his work-rate, his pace and his running in behind teams. I think he’s scored in his last couple of appearances now and he’s working every single day on improving his game. So I’m delighted for him and he knows how much we value him.”
