The Red Devils came into the match on the back of a heavy defeat against Liverpool. However, they displayed a completely different form compared to last week.
In his post-match interview, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praised Scott McTominay’s performance.
“Man of the match for me, by a mile,” Solskjaer responded.
“That’s the Scott we’ve seen a few times before. He’s had his injury, operation this season but today I thought he was absolutely brilliant, won his tackles, drove forward, kept the ball simple, switched play, headed away set-plays. Absolute top.”
Cristiano Ronaldo was selected as the official Man of the Match. The Portuguese superstar scored a goal and provided an assist, displaying his elite mentality once again.
