Sevilla ran ragged Manchester United in the Europa League, finally bringing an end to their 2019/20 campaign.

Three semi-finals and three defeats. This is what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have to contend with as he begins his vacations.

Paul Scholes has already pleaded with the Manchester United hierarchy. The former midfielder wants them to add Jadon Sancho to their ranks.

Solskjaer admits that the squad needs reinforcements. However, he refused to divulge details and called the coronavirus marred transfer window unusual than the norm.

The Norwegian manager stated that the team needs to recharge before they return in earnest. Solskjaer believes they have not achieved their peak and have to push themselves for greater heights.

“It’s going to be a strange summer,” Solskjaer told ManUtd.com.

“We’ve only got a couple of weeks away from each other until we get going again. That’s going to be a mental challenge.”

“Of course we’re going to keep pushing and keep demanding more of the players that we have but still we’re looking to improve.”

“It’s a strange one. The league starts very quickly but the market’s open for so long, so we’ve got to be both good, smart and clever.”

Solskjaer was coy about United’s transfers and refused to get in details. He shared that he will sit down with United’s authorities and finalize their deals.

“Well, I cannot say when or if transfers are going to be done. We’ll need to look at it and we’ll have to sit down.”

“It’s a quick turnaround and we’ve got to be 100 percent sure when we make those deals.”
