The game was between the England team and the world XI, which featured Wayne Rooney, Jamie Carragher, Garry Neville, and Paul Scholes from the England team. It was the first time since 2012/13 since both played together. Other players who featured in the match from the red team are Patrice era and Gary Neville.
The former Manchester City player in the soccer aid camp team in 2021 was Roberto Carlos and Clarence Seedorf. The derby county manager Wayne Rooney played in the England shirt since retiring in 2013. It was the first time to work again under Sven Goren Eriksson, the manager who introduced him to the international platform in 2003.
David Beckham was impressed by his former teammates participating in soccer aid. He said that they could never lose it.
