It was the first time since 2012/13 since both played together. Other players who featured in the match from the red team are Patrice era and Gary Neville.

The former Manchester City player in the soccer aid camp team in 2021 was Roberto Carlos and Clarence Seedorf. The derby county manager Wayne Rooney played in the England shirt since retiring in 2013. It was the first time to work again under Sven Goren Eriksson, the manager who introduced him to the international platform in 2003.

David Beckham was impressed by his former teammates participating in soccer aid. He said that they could never lose it. The 46-year-old soccer icon enjoyed the match from the stands at the Etihad Stadium, watching Gary Neville, Wayne Rooney, and Paul Scholes come out of retirement and participate in the soccer aid.

While at Manchester United, David Beckham played right-back, but Paul Scholes took up his role in the centre midfield with Wayne Rooney. The fan stadium cheered him up when he popped up on the huge screens at the stadium.

The opponents took the lion’s share of chances in the first half of the match, but the game was in a stalemate by the end of the first half. In the second half, the world XI netted three goals which sealed the win for the visitors. The organizers of the event are very much grateful for the successful event. They are hoping the next edition of soccer aid will collect more funds to assist the needy children in society.
