David Silva says he still wants to win titles with Sociedad and challenge the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona for silverware.

After a trophy-laden time at Manchester City, David Silva still has plans to win even more honors with Real Sociedad.

The 34-year-old won four Premier League titles, the EFL Cup five times and the FA Cup twice during his time in England.

After his contract with City ended, Silva agreed a deal with Sociedad earlier this month.

The midfielder arrived in Spain today and was officially confirmed as a news signing for the club.

Following his arrival, David Silva refuses to let down and still has plans to continue fighting for trophies.

“I’m really excited to get started here and meet my new team-mates and the club staff,” he told a media conference as quoted by the Goal.

“The team is playing some great football and I hope to add to that here and have some great years at the club.

“I have high expectations in terms of the football we’ll be playing and I think we can compete for silverware.” Silva added.

“I’ll be an important part of the team and in this case, because of my experience, I’ll help the younger players as well.

“I’ve been lucky enough to win a lot of things in my career, I’m very competitive and I’m going to try and do the same here because that’s why I’ve been brought in.”

Sociedad finished in sixth place last term and no doubt Silva will plan to finish even higher this coming season.
