Alan Shearer has named Harry Kane as part of three players Pep Guardiola should consider to replace Sergio Aguero at Manchester City.

Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe, and Erling Haaland are three forward names City must look at as they reportedly seek for an Aguero replacement.

The City frontman is out of contract at the end of the season and it is unlikely he would sign a contract renewal.

Aguero has scored 180 Premier League goals for the Citizens in 268 appearances since his debut for the club.

He has been prolific and consistent over the years but none of that has taken shape this season.

Injury struggles and covid-19 battles have limited Aguero to just five Premier League appearances all season.

Just recently, the Argentine emerged as a surprise target for Catalan giants Barcelona.

And Alan Shearer believes the Citizens should move on from the 32-year-old.

Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe, and Erling Haaland are among three of the best forward names in football. The Premier League record scorer has now urged Pep Guardiola to consider one of these names as a transfer target.

“Well there are two or three that I am sure could do a job,” Shearer said on Kick Off regarding City replacing Aguero.

“But one would be Kane, the other one would be Mbappe and the other one would be Haaland, but that is easier said than done getting one of those players into your football club.”

“I’m not talking about trying to get Harry Kane to leave Tottenham because we all know what he feels about that football club, but he is an outstanding forward.”

“You know, any half decent centre forward in that Man City team would and should score 30 plus goals a season – that’s league goals – not just any goals.”

“With the chances that they create and the balls that they put into the box, with those players in that team, with De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling, all these players in there.”

“I think a half decent centre forward should get 30 goals.”
