The 25-year-old seemed to be losing favor at Old Trafford but has transformed himself into one of the best in the business at his position.

Luke Shaw says Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has played a key role in his Manchester United resurgence as the left-back seeks to “keep helping the team to push to get trophies”.

Shaw is enjoying a standout campaign as he has been one of the best and most consistent performers for Man United in 2020-21.

The defender created a mouthwatering 11 chances for his side during the match against Leeds United, although the match ended in a goalless draw. He has been Premier League’s most creative player this season with 66 chances created.

It appeared that his Old Trafford career was set for failure due to recurring fitness issues and fallout with Jose Mourinho but the England international has put his woes in the past to go on the right path to fulfill his potential.

“A lot of things. One of them is the manager – and I’m not just saying that as he’s sat next to me,” Shaw replied when asked about the reason behind his improved form, via Goal.

“Myself as well, I’ve changed a lot of things and I believe in myself more and I feel a lot more confident the most important thing is I am just enjoying playing football again and that is important thing to have for our job, you need to enjoy it and I’m doing that.

“The team is going in right direction and I want to be part of it so I need to keep high performances up to keep myself in the team because there is competition all over the squad and I want to keep improving and get getting better and keep helping the team to push to get trophies.”
