The Red Devils boast a remarkable record on their travels but they have been unable to replicate that form on home soil.

Manchester United need to “get much better results” at Old Trafford, says Luke Shaw as he reflects on his side’s home and away records this season.

Man Utd started the season with a disappointing Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace at home. While their home form has improved slightly, Old Trafford has been far from a fortress for United.

Out of the 26 matches played at home so far this term, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have managed just 15 wins.

Their away form, meanwhile, is formidable, having been unbeaten in 24 games on the bounce on their travels.

A crucial match awaits at Old Trafford as Man United prepare to play host to AS Roma for the first leg of the Europa League semi-final, and Shaw has issued a rallying cry ahead of the match.

The left-back told MUTV: “It’s a very good record, it’s one we don’t look too much into, that’s maybe been a positive our away record, but our home record hasn’t been good, we know we need to be better at home and get much better results.

“It’s a good record but it doesn’t count for anything with where we are in the league. We need to keep improving and we’ve got the Europa League, we need to win that and that should be our main focus now.”
