The former Real Madrid midfielder is set to leave Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan only five months after joining the club.
Sevilla manager Jorge Sampaoli insists he is not involved in making a decision over Isco’s future at the club.
The former Spain international joined Sevilla on a two-year contract in August. However, he is on the verge of leaving the La Liga side after making only 16 appearances this season.
“The reality with Isco is a situation that does not involve me too much,” he said.
“My role as a coach is to see what I have available and develop a job.
“Isco has a great quality that he has proved during his career, but the decision on who arrives and who leaves is not the coach’s, but the club’s.”
Isco has featured in 19 matches for Sevilla since the start of the campaign, registering one goal and three assists. His playing time has increased significantly compared to his final few seasons at Real Madrid.
However, widespread reports in Spanish media claim the 30-year-old has agreed to terminate his contract. A move away from Sevilla would see Isco become a free agent ahead of the January transfer window.
Aston Villa and Wolves are the two Premier League sides that have shown interest in signing Isco this winter. But a move to Italy also seems likely, with Napoli and Juventus also being linkedwith the experienced playmaker.
