Ronaldo’s goal against Verona has extended his lead in the Capocannoniere race as he bids to finish top-scorer in Italy for the first time.

After finishing fourth in 2018/19 and runner-up last season, Cristiano Ronaldo is edging closer to becoming the Italian goal king in his third campaign.

The Portuguese ace’s latest goal in Juventus’ 1-1 draw away to Hellas Verona on Saturday took his tally up to 19 goals in only 20 league games. He has, for the time being at least, moved two goals clear of nearest rival Romelu Lukaku.

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Lazio frontman Ciro Immobile, who won the Capocannoniere last season, have been joined by Atalanta star Luis Muriel on 14 goals.

Below is the full list of top-scorers in Serie A this season.
