Cristiano Ronaldo has a lot of detractors and even two Serie A titles with Juventus cannot silence his critics.

From Manchester to Madrid and now in Turin, Cristiano Ronaldo has been sensational. Goals and silverware have followed him wherever he has put down his camp.

At the age of 35, he won his second successive Serie A title. More importantly, he had 31 goals against his name, 37 if you consider all competitions.

This is probably not enough for his detractors who questioned his success with the Old Lady. Former Portugal international, Nuno Gomes has come to CR7’s support.

Gomes claimed that Ronaldo’s stint in Turin is successful but admitted it will never be enough for Juve.

The former Fiorentina ace shared that is always difficult to adapt to new surroundings and Ronaldo should be lauded for his performances.

“I would say yes, because they have won the title twice in Italy. However, that it is not enough for Juventus, it is not enough to win the Italian title,” Gomes told Goal.

“For him, personally, after a big change, some were expecting he might not do well outside of Real Madrid, but he proved in terms of his records, his statistics, he was very good in these two seasons at Juventus. He scores a lot, he plays all the games and with his age, to perform at such a top, high level, he is the best.”
