Already as a PSG player, Sergio Ramos responded to questions about Kylian Mbappe’s possible move to Real Madrid this summer.
Everybody is talking about Kylian Mbape’s possible move from PSG to Real Madrid, even Sergio Ramos. The Spanish defender just arrived to play for the French giants and he was interviewed by Diario AS. In order to press him about his new teammate’s future, they wanted him to talk about the possibility of Mbappe playing for Real Madrid. As you might already know, the youngster decided to not extend his current contract.
Meaning that he must either leave now in order to get PSG a great payday, or leave for free next summer. But according to all the major news outlets in Paris, Mbappe already told the club that he won’t be extending his current contract. Now that Sergio Ramos is his new teammate, the idea of playing alongside one of the best defenders in the world does appeal to him. But Ramos just did something that Nasser Al-Khelaifi might not appreciate. It will possibly have an effect on the young player’s decision this summer.
Ramos thinks Mbappe should play for Real Madrid.
As he spoke to Diario AS today, Sergio Ramos was questioned about Kylian Mbappe’s possible transfer to Real Madrid. Although he didn’t specifically said he should leave this summer, Sergio is convinced it needs to happen. This is a clear wink towards his former club, regardless of the way they parted ways: “Of course. Madrid is one of the best clubs in the world. On a historical level, the best. For me, great players have to go through there. But now I want him on my team.
“I want to win and for that I want the best to be by my side. Advice on a personal level I could never give. I could tell him something from experience, but I would do it in private. As a PSG player, I would like him to stay. I like to play with the best and Mbappe is one of them. The offer was accepted but it had a use-by date. They informed us a week ago that the offer had run-out. I don’t know why it had an expiry date. Maybe I interpreted it wrongly or I didn’t understand it but no one told me.”
