The former Real Madrid star is available as a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.
Sevilla have approached Sergio Ramos with an offer to sign him as a free agent.
Ramos ended his injury-ridden spell at Paris Saint-Germain as he became a free agent earlier this summer. The 37-year-old has attracted interest from both Turkish and Saudi Arabian offers, but he might prefer to seal a move back to La Liga.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the offer from Sevilla was the reason why Ramos delayed a response to his Saudi Arabian suitors. The Sky Sports journalist claims that Sevilla are keen to sign the centre-back on a “short-term” deal, expecting Ramos to announce his decision soon.
Ramos started his career at Sevilla, where he established a reputation as one of La Liga’s most promising defenders in the early 2000s. A move to Real Madrid then started Ramos’ glorious journey to fulfil his potential while winning numerous domestic and European trophies at the club.
The former Spain international struggled to live up to expectations at PSG after his move in 2021. He made 58 appearances for the French giants, claiming two League One trophies and a Trophée des Champions at Parc des Prince.
The experienced star now has the choice to make between reuniting with Karim Benzema at Al Ittihad or returning to Sevilla to continue his career at La Liga.
