The Catalans are not planning to keep Dest in their squad ahead of the next season.

Barcelona are reportedly open to either loaning out or selling Sergino Dest this summer.

The 22-year-old right-back has found himself on the outskirts of the team and has been made available at a significantly reduced price.

According to the Athletic, Barcelona are prepared to let Dest go for as little as €10 million ahead of the next campaign. A loan move is also under consideration as the USMNT star hopes to get more playing time elsewhere.

Dest left Barcelona for a similar reason last summer but his loan spell at Milan didn’t convince the Italian giants to make his deal permanent. He often played second fiddle to Davide Calabria in the Rossoneri’s backline, making only eight Serie A appearances last season.

With the new development, it would be difficult to imagine Dest staying at Barca for the new campaign. According to Calciomercato, Union Berlin have shown interest in signing the American right-back in recent days.

The Italian source has claimed both a permanent move and a loan deal are on the table, with Union still undecided over the move. A possible transfer to Union would provide Dest with a chance to continue playing in the Champions League next season.
