The Bavarians hope to finalize a deal for the Senegal star as soon as the next week.

Senegal manager Aliou Cisse has reacted to reports about Bayern Munich’s interest in Sadio Mane.

The experienced forward spent another brilliant campaign at Liverpool, playing a key role in their quadruple push. He scored 23 goals in his 51 games across all competitions for the Reds.

However, the Senegal star is now close to leaving Anfield ahead of the next season. Bayern Munich have emerged as his main suitors, with the Bavarians already being in negotiations with Liverpool.

Asked about Mane’s potential transfer to Allianz Arena, Cisse explained why such a move would benefit the 30-year-old.

The Senegal boss said: “Bayern plays intense, pressing football with a German coach.

“Sadio played in Salzburg in Austria, which is a border country, and that means he’s not going into unfamiliar territory. For me, the club where he will feel the best is Bayern.”

Liverpool are close to signing Darwin Nunez from Benfica. According to Sky Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, the forward’s transfer will increase the likelihood of Mane’s move to Bayern.

The Reds have rejected two offers from the Bundesliga giants. However, the talks are reportedly ongoing, with both clubs hoping to reach an agreement in the coming week.
