The Scottish Premiership awards for the best player and manager of the 2021/22 campaign have been announced.

Player of the Season – Craig Gordon (Hearts)

Hearts captain Craig Gordon has clinched the Premiership Player of the Season for 2021/22.

The 39-year-old goalkeeper kept 14 clean sheets – second only to Celtic’s Joe Hart – and recorded a league-best of 135 saves. His efforts helped Hearts finish third in the standings. In doing so, Robbie Neilson’s side qualify for next season’s Europa League playoff rounds.

Gordon will lead the Jam Tarts on Saturday again for the Scottish Cup final against Rangers.

Manager of the Season – Ange Postecoglou (Celtic)

Ange Postecoglou has won the Scottish Premiership Manager of the Season for 2021/22 after guiding Celtic to the title.

The 56-year-old has now collected three awards, having already won the PFA Scotland Manager of the Year and Scottish Football Writers’ award for the current campaign.

Postecoglou joined Celtic from Japanese club Yokohama F. Marinos last summer. In 60 matches so far, he has collected 42 victories and lost just 11 times. He has helped Celtic win the Premiership and the Premier Sports Cup, as well as qualify for the Champions League in 2022/23, during his debut season.
