The Gunners have identified Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri as a possible transfer target.

As Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are expected to leave in 2022, Arsenal have been scouting potential replacements for the forwards.

Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic are both on the shortlist. However, En-Nesyri is a cheaper alternative. Arsenal have scouted the 24-year-old Moroccan, who scored an impressive 24 goals for Sevilla last season in all competitions. [Express]

Newcastle won’t bid for Martial

The Magpies won’t consider a loan move for Manchester United striker Anthony Martial in January.

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has rejected the chance to pursue a deal for Martial, despite being ‘offered’ the opportunity to do so. He will instead search for alternative attacking options.

Signing Martial on loan for the second half of the season could reportedly cost around £6 million. [Football Insider]

What will Tottenham do with Alli & Doherty?

Tottenham will allow midfielder Dele Alli and right-back Matt Doherty to leave the club in the January transfer window.

Despite impressing new manager Antonio Conte recently, Alli has the green light from Spurs to go out on loan in order to gain some valuable game time.

Doherty, meanwhile, is free to leave north London on a permanent deal as the club eye a new right wing-back. [Evening Standard]

Liverpool urged to consider Jimenez swoop in January

 Liverpool should consider a striker like Wolves star Raul Jimenez ahead of the January transfer window, says Paul Merson.

 Jurgen Klopp’s side will lose star forwards Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in January. The duo will instead represent Egypt and Senegal respectively in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Roma in talks with Arsenal for Maitland-Niles

The Giallorossi have opened talks with Arsenal over a potential loan deal for Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

The 24-year-old midfielder has endured another frustrating campaign at the Emirates, having started just four games this season, after an attempted summer move to Everton fell through.

Roma are keen to sign Maitland-Niles on loan in January, with an option to make the deal permanent. No transfer fee has been agreed yet between the Italian club and Arsenal. [ESPN]

Ighalo becomes Newcastle’s latest transfer target

Former Manchester United and Watford striker Odion Ighalo has reportedly emerged on Newcastle’s transfer list.

The 32-year-old Nigerian is under contract at Saudi Arabian side Al Shabab until June 2023. However, given his prolific form in the Middle East, Newcastle may attempt to sign him.

The Blues expect at least one of their midfield trio in N’Golo Kante, Jorginho or Mateo Kovacic to leave next year.

To prepare for this, Chelsea have scouted potential midfield reinforcements. West Ham star Declan Rice, a former member of the club’s youth system, is of interest. Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham and Wolves’ Ruben Neves are also on the European champions’ radar.

Despite their imminent capture of Ferran Torres, Barcelona may not be done just yet in raiding Manchester City.

The Catalan giants could revisit their transfer interest in Raheem Sterling. The England international has not agreed on a new contract at City, with his current deal to expire in 2023.
