After sealing big-money deals worth for Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale, Arsenal need to get players off the books before the summer transfer window closes on August 31.

Willian, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Eddie Nketiah, Lucas Torreira, Reiss Nelson, and Sead Kolasinac are all reportedly on the market.

Hector Bellerin also wants out of the club this summer but has no offers on the table. If the Spain international is to leave though, Maitland-Niles could stay as an alternative right-back option for Arsenal. [The Mirror]

Mbappe emerges as a potential target for Man United

Manchester United have listed Kylian Mbappe as a potential target for next summer’s transfer window.

The World Cup winner will be a free agent next year as his Paris Saint-Germain contract will expire. Therefore, United are keeping tabs on the situation as well as several other suitors, including Real Madrid.

With Edinson Cavani expected to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants an established striker. The Red Devils boss has eyes on Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Lautaro Martinez. [ESPN]

Ndombele hands in a transfer request to Tottenham

Tanguy Ndombele has made himself available for a transfer after failing to win favor under new Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

The 24-year-old midfielder has seen no action in pre-season and in either of Spurs’ first two competitive outings of the 2021/22 campaign. Santo has also confirmed he will miss the club’s Premier League match against Wolves on Sunday.

Goretzka set to commit future to Bayern Munich

Despite links to Manchester United, Leon Goretzka has reportedly agreed to extend his stay at Bayern Munich.

Chelsea still want Kounde

Despite Trevoh Chalobah’s recent emergence, Chelsea still want to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.

Chalobah’s impressive performances in the UEFA Super Cup and the Premier League recently have convinced Thomas Tuchel to keep the 22-year-old rather than send him out on loan.

But the Blues boss wants to strengthen the right side of his defense, and he feels Kounde is the man for the job. Chelsea could sell a center-back, most likely Kurt Zouma, before making an official offer to Sevilla. [The Telegraph]
