Jadon Sancho has all it takes to make a similar impact as Bruno Fernandes for Manchester United, says Owen Hargreaves.
Manchester United continue to lurk around Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho.
A big-move to England looked on the cards this summer until the German side pulled the plug on any potential transfer. After reported back and forth negotiations, Dortmund decided to keep their prized asset for at least one more season.
The Red Devils have not given up though and still have plans to sign Sancho.
Club legend Owen Hargreaves is in support of the move having made a similar transfer path in his career. In 2007, Hargreaves left Bayern Munich to join the Red Devils.
Bruno Fernandes joined United in January and has been nothing but an impact signing since his debut. Hargreaves sees Sancho as a ‘perfect’ fit for United and believes the forward can bring a similar impact to the Portuguese.
The ex-Red Devils midfielder told talkSPORT: ‘I hope he comes over here. He would be perfect for United.’
“I don’t think they (Dortmund) have much of an argument because they’ve pretty much sold everyone, whether it’s been (Robert) Lewandowski, (Mats) Hummels, (Mario) Gotze or (Ousmane) Dembele. Everyone has pretty much left there.”
“We know they are a selling club and it’s obviously about money.”
“In Jadon, as much as we are in a difficult space right now with everything going in the world, it will be money well spent.”
“You just have to get the deal done. You saw what Bruno did to United. Jadon would do the same.”
Many Manchester United legends seem to be on the same page with Sancho joining the club.
