Liverpool might have faltered domestically but Salah remains positive about his side’s chances in the Champions League.

Mohamed Salah insists ‘things will get better’ soon enough as Liverpool hope to end their campaign on a high.

After an impressive campaign last season, the Reds have not been able to replicate the form that saw them reign supreme in the Premier League. It’s been series of disappointments and injury struggles to go with.

If that isn’t enough, Jurgen Klopp has even claimed a top-four finish is impossible for his side.

However, Liverpool still have one last shot at silverware in the Champions League. They have been paired against Real Madrid as they take on the ‘difficult’ task of going all the way in the competition.

Despite a tough season for Liverpool, Salah has been able to maintain his high standards upfront. The Egyptian has hit 20+ goals for the fourth succession in running at Anfield.

Speaking after winning the club’s player of the month, the Liverpool talisman hinted at optimism in the Champions League.

Salah said to the club’s website: “It’s a nice feeling to be winning it again.”

“It’s a good feeling and I’m happy about our last results, so hopefully we can just keep winning.”

“It’s tough for all of us because of the situation we have been through and our position in the Premier League, but I believe it’s going to be better. In the Champions League we are doing good.”

“I don’t want to just talk about my season because we play as a team, so I’d say it’s a tough season for all of us and we just need to carry on and try to win games.”

“I just want to say thank you very much for voting for me. We’re going to give our 100 percent to win the next few games and hopefully we can do that and do good also in the Champions League.”
