The Senegalese star has reportedly decided to end his spell at Anfield.
Sadio Mane will soon inform Liverpool of his decision to leave the club this summer, according to The Athletic.
The Senegal international failed to win his second Champions League title with the Reds as they lost 1-0 against Real Madrid in the final.
After the game, there were reports that Mane had bid farewell to his Liverpool teammates. A potential departure will end the forward’s six-year spell at Anfield, with the Reds receiving a major transfer blow.
Mane’s current contract at Liverpool ends next summer, with the Reds being keen to avoid a free departure. According to reports from both English and German sources, Bayern Munich are the frontrunners to sign the 30-year-old this summer.
However, the Athletic claims Mane has not yet finalized his decision to join the Bundesliga giants. Bayern are yet to place an official bid for the player, with Liverpool demanding more than €30 million.
Since joining Liverpool from Southampton in 2016, Mane has won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
In his 34 league appearances for Liverpool last season, Mane scored 16 goals and provided four goals. He also helped Senegal win their first-ever Africa Cup of Nations title back in February.
