The Senegalese star completed a €41m move to Bayern, finishing his remarkable Liverpool career.

Bayern Munich officially announced Sadio Mane’s signing on Wednesday. The 30-year-old ends his Liverpool career after spending six years at Anfield.

Following a move from Southampton in 2016, the Senegal star went on to become a pillar of Liverpool’s attacking line. In his 269 appearances for the Reds, Mane scored 120 goals and provided 48 assists.

An outstanding Liverpool career saw Mane winning the Champions League, the Premier League, the FIFA Club World Cup, the Carabao Cup, the FA Cup, and the Premier League Golden Boot at Anfield.

However, it wasn’t difficult for the experienced forward to pick the best moment of his Liverpool career.

“Wow! I think it’s good but not a difficult question I will say!” he responded in a farewell interview with Liverpool’s official website.

“I will go first of all for 2019 when we beat Barcelona at home. That was incredible, and as well when we won the Champions League.

“For me, so far that is the best, best moment, or the moment that will stay forever in my head, for sure.”

Asked about his favourite goal for Liverpool, Mane said: “I will say my first goal at Emirates Stadium against Arsenal on my debut.

“And then after, my second goal, I will say against Bayern Munich, against Manuel Neuer!

“Sorry Manu, I am coming, but I think the second goal was also unbelievable! So, I will pick these two goals.”

Mane scored twice when Liverpool defeated Bayern Munich 3-1 in 2019. Let’s take a look at his remarkable first goal at Allianz Arena against his now-teammate Manuel Neuer.
